*Fun Activity Friday!!* Bubble Dough

Image
Bubble Dough Here's what you will need:  - 1 cup cornstarch - half a cup of dish soup  - 2 teaspoons olive/cooking oil Add ingredients slowly, knead well! If it is too sticky, add more cornstarch. If it is too crumbly, add more oil.  I thought my son would love this activity since it was similar to Play Doh. I was very surprised when he started crying when he touched it..  I hope your kids enjoy this fun activity! :)

Tomorrow!

You guessed it! Tomorrow is "Fun Activity Friday"! :) Can't wait to share the "fun" activity my son and I tried today. And I say "fun" because he didn't enjoy it like I thought he would.

For the Mommies!

I figured the Mommies could use a special post! :) So how about some nail talk! My new favorite way to do my nails is glitter ombre!   Don't mind my son in the background ;) LOL What are some nail designs that you like??

This was an activity my son really enjoyed! Although sometimes he would forget to dip the paint brush into the paint and ended up just painting with the water. LOL! I got the water color paints and a book of plain white paper at Family Dollar.

Sick

Yesterday was awful.. Sore throat, fever, chills, and achy. Thank goodness my wonderful husband was able to work from home so he was able to take care of our son. I slept and laid on the couch all day.  I am feeling much better today! Sitting here enjoying a coffee now and getting ready to work on another blog post. :) Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday! I am LOVING this cool weather!

My son, Grantzilla!!

Yesterday morning my husband and I woke up to our son standing at the foot of our bed.. Yes, my son busted down his baby gate and escaped.. He moved all his lotions, wipes, desitin from the changing table to his dresser, and took out all of his books. This morning my husband woke up to my son's bedroom door completely off the hinges!!  I think we're raising the Hulk!

DIY Activity of the Day!

Image
*Homemade Sidewalk Paint* Here is what you will need: - 3 cups cornstarch - 3 cups water - food coloring - paint brushes - containers ( You can downsize the 3 cups water / 3 cups cornstarch if you do no want to make that much ) I made enough to fill 3 glass baby food jars.  Begin by pouring water into a large bowl, then slowly mixing in the cornstarch. Separate into containers. Mix enough food coloring to get your desired colors. Then you are ready to paint!! My son had a BLAST! Definitely something we will be doing again.
Past couple days have been hectic.. Between Grant waking up with a horrible rash Sunday and taking him to the Children's Express Care at Children's Hospital and then we went to visit our families on Monday. I was so happy to be able to see my Mom and sisters are the week I had last week. I'm doing good, I think. I still get sad sometimes.. Everything happened so fast. Went out for Mom's Night out last night with some Mommy friends.. It was SO nice to get out. It was definitely much needed. I had a yummy Blue Raspberry Coronarita. I go to the doctors tomorrow for a checkup.. Not really looking forward to it.

I love you.. Blighted ovum poem

I loved you the moment I knew you what you would come to be. I loved you when I found out you where the size of a grain of salt. I loved you when I learned you were growing to be the size of a small seed. I loved you even more when I learned that your heart had started to beat and you looked like a little bean. I loved you when I read you where the size a blueberry. I loved picking out names and daydreaming if you would look like me. I loved you even when I learned that you were never any of these things not grain of salt, a seed, a bean or a blueberry. I still love you, although you did not grow in my belly, you grew in my heart. I love you....

Summer Fun!
