Homemade Bath Paints

Image
This is one of my favorite activities my son and I have tried so far. :) Homemade Bath Paints! Simple to make and few ingredients. You're number one question will probably be "Do they rinse off the tub easily?" the answer is "Yes!" Here's what you will need:    - 1 tablespoon cornstarch - 4-6 pumps of baby shampoo - 2-3 drops food coloring - 1-2 tsp water - containers or a tray for your bath paints ( I used baby food jars I saved ) We only made red the first time so the measurements above won't make a lot of bath paints.. You can adjust the recipe to make larger amounts. :) Our red bath paints after it is all mixed together My son loved this. I need to make more colors now.

Nuby Sport Sipper

Image
When I got the opportunity I was very excited and anxious to try this sipper with my son. At first it was a great sippy, no leaks or spills! But, my almost 2 year old son figured out how to take the clear spout off and spilled his watered down apple juice everywhere in our car. I was disappointed. So needless to say this cup will be used when I can see him at all times, no more in the car.   About the Nuby Sport Sipper: Sized just right for little hands to grip Easy to use sport sipper straw that is durable enough for your child's newly formed sharp teeth. No spills or leaks ( unless your son is like mine and is able to take the spout off )  Available in a variety of cute designs Perfect for small hands. Close up of the inside of the lid. The clear thing is what my son took off.. He pushes it in with his thumbs and it pops right out. ): My Final Thoughts The Nuby Sport Sipper would be a great cup for my son, if only he couldn't take the spout

Water and Oil "Fireworks"

Image
This was a pretty neat activity and I'm sure kids of all ages would love this! It's called "Water and Oil Fireworks"! Everything you need for this you probably already have. Here's what you will need:      - jar or container of some sort - food coloring  - bowl to mix oil and food coloring - vegetable oil or baby oil ( I used vegetable oil ) Directions are in the picture captions. Have fun! Picture of all the ingredients Put just a FEW drops of food coloring in the oil ( I did 4 drops of red, 4 drops of yellow and 4 drop of green ) the first time I did this I used too much food coloring and it didn't work. After you added the food coloring to the oil stir. Pour the oil/food coloring mix into the water jar. Then watch your "fireworks"!! So cool!
